What is Fibromyalgia?

Fibromyalgia is a disorder linked to widespread musculoskeletal pain, chronic fatigue, and cognitive difficulties like brain fog. The cause is still unknown, but some research shows it might be genetic or due to infections and injuries.

How can floating help?

In 2010, the International Flotation Research Group gathered 81 participants with fibromyalgia and had them complete a number of self reports before and after three floats sessions each. The study provides robust data showing improvements in pain, muscle tension, ease of movement, and negative emotions. The sensory deprived weightless environment suspends the body, easing joint pain, reducing stress levels, and giving the perfect chance for your brain to produce theta waves found in deep meditation (shown to help with chronic fatigue syndromes).
