Stress plays a major role in anxiety disorders like PTSD. Floating provides great stress relief and a safe, calm environment for mindfulness meditation.
What is PTSD?
Post Traumatic Stress Disorder occurs due to a traumatic event or period of time and involves reliving the trauma over and over again. This can cause increased anxiety, trouble sleeping, flashbacks, and depression.
How can floating help?
It might sound scary to be alone with your own mind. However, float therapy has been proven to relieve stress, reduce tension, and improve quality of life, as well as sleep. Our float pools provide a safe environment for optional sensory deprivation, which can ease your mind and allow you to enter a meditative state, which scientists speculate is able to repair brain connections and improve brain function (and mood!). Float therapy, or REST therapy, has also been proven to improve symptoms of depression and anxiety, which are common comorbidities of PTSD.
